Three of our members went to Red Acre – a community allotment in Mytholmroyd – to arrange for refugees to visit the site this Summer. It is a large site with play area, chickens, bees, a toilet, a pizza oven, sitting areas, poly tunnel, a pond, etc.
Red Acre offered the refugees to have a large allotment. So we will see if any of them want to take up that offer. A local café has offered to make food for the refugees free of charge.
Red Acre is placed next to the woods and there is only a five minutes walk to the park.
