Took three sewing machines into the refugees women’s sewing group. The machines were donated by individuals in Blackshaw Head.
Picked up three vacuum cleaners, a toaster and a duvet from the wonderful Reuse project in Littleborough and brought it to various refugees. See https://www.facebook.com/ReuseLittleborough/?ref=br_tf
Finally, took a boys bike and a mirror to refugees. All bikes we give to refugees are serviced beforehand. The costs of those services cannot be paid out of the grants we receive. So we rely on individual donations to Together We Grow to be able to cover such costs.
Our chair attended an adult safeguarding course and will update our management committee members and our volunteers. We will also update our safeguarding policy.
