Handmade Parade

On Sunday 24th June we took the refugees and asylum seekers to see the Handmade Parade in Hebden Bridge. We saw the parade passing the GP surgery, then picked up lunch packed at Ali’s house before going to the park to see the performances, play in the play ground and sit in the shade to hear the music. The last ones went home at 5pm.

Many thanks to Ali for letting us use her house as a sandwich factory. It made it a very successful day.

We also took a family to see an allotment opportunity at Red Acre in Mytholmroyd that they can use if they want to.
