Many thanks to Alison and her wonderful team of volunteers for organising a Middle Eastern Feast Mezza as a fundraising activity for Together We Grow.
It took place on 9th September at Hope Baptist Church in Hebden Bridge and 46 people attended.
We had some amazing starters, hot main meals and lots of puddings.
Alison explained that she did this feast to help the refugees in the area. Laura and Ibrahim – the two co-chairs of Together We Grow – spoke about the project.
Ibrahim is himself an asylum seeker and explained how important it is for refugees and asylum seekers to feel welcomed. He said that the people of Together We Grow now feels like part of the family.
