Our management committee met

Our management committee met on 11th July, partly to plan future activities. We are taking refugees and asylum seekers living in Rochdale to Fleetwood on 3rd August to see the seaside. St Augustine’s Centre will arrange another coach trip to the seaside for refugees and asylum seekers living in Calderdale.
On 28th August we will be camping in Hebden Bridge and on 21st September we will have a sports and BBQ day in Blackshaw Head.
In October we hope to go to Todmorden. We also hope to visit the Lamplighters Parade in Todmorden.
We talked about the future of our walking group – arranging walking days for adults only during school hours and for families with children on Saturdays and during school holidays.
We had a financial report which showed that in the period since 1st May we have spent as much as we did in the previous 12 months. We will need to raise about £10,000 each year for current activities.
Two of our committee members attended safeguarding training – so we have now done both safeguarding training relating to children and adults.
We also started preparing a new leaflet about the activities of Together We Grow.
Reports were given on our work with the refugee networks in Rochdale and in Calderdale.
