Our management committee met on 20th January. We received an update on a skills audit of the committee, which showed the following skills:
Typing, record keeping, filing, Accountancy and finance,
Project design, planning and management, social researching, participatory research,
Using social media, publicity,
Interpreting / translating , speaking loudly!!
Networking,
Training, developing training materials,
Fundraising
Arts and crafts
We also received an update on training courses committee members had requested – all of which are now booked.
The organisation’s financial situation was described by our treasurer.
Then on to the main item: future events. A lot of ideas had already been suggested at our last meeting and more was added – see picture.
We are planning a visit to Manchester to see the Football Museum and the Science Museum. We have also been invited to visit Robin Wood in Todmorden.
Activities for the Summer include sports and BBQ day, Handmade Parade, Refugee Week and trip to the seaside.
The meeting was followed by lunch.
