On Saturday 23rd July we had 32 asylum seekers coming for our garden party. Also invited were members of our community who give lifts to the asylum seekers and help out with activities during the day.
Many thanks to Ben Tasker for providing the bouncing castle which was very popular. We also had a BBQ with different types of food, played games like football, volley ball, badminton, etc, did some arts and craft activities (painting) and some singing.
Various clothes were donated for the asylum seekers to take home. The poly tunnel is currently producing a lot of vegetables – so the asylum seekers could take as much as they wanted.
Also thanks to those who brought cakes and eggs for the asylum seekers.
