Trustees’ meeting

Together We Grow’s trustees normally meets every six weeks to with some regular items on the agenda, like the minutes of the last meeting, financial report, past and future activities. There are sometimes also discussions on the strategic direction of the charity, Refugee Week in June, etc.

On 28-2-2023 we had a trustees meeting, where we too stock of an open day in Rochdale with 13 local organisations having stalls for asylum seekers and refugees living in Rochdale. Two of our trustees had a Together We Grow stall there with a lot of interest. It was great to see how much there is now on offer in Rochdale. We therefore do no want to duplicate what is already happening but Together We Grow are doing some activities that no one else seems to be doing, like a 3-day trip to the Lake District and a daytrip to the seaside in Fleetwood.

We also talked about the two events we have on 11th and 13th April with the local artist, Lizzie Lockhart. Robin Wood in Todmorden has a family day at the end of August or the beginning of September which we plan to join. During the school holiday in the Summer we hope to have one or two coaches going to the seaside in Fleetwood over one or two days.
