Rochdale2Aleppo raised £16,611,57 and spent it all on food, clothes, medical equipment, etc to fill three 40 foot lorries.
A local school in the Upper Calder Valley has offered to organise another collection. Perhaps other schools want to join.
Another local school is investigating arranging a day of activities for the asylum seekers and refugees participating in Together We Grow so they can mix with the children of that school.
So watch this space for updates of future activities.
On 21st January we are taking asylum seekers and refugees to Todmorden to spend the day there, visiting the park, seeing the town, have lunch and see Snow White at the Hippodrome Theatre. So far we have bought 35 tickets (£226). We also pay for their train tickets and lunch. If you want to give a donation towards these costs you can do that via this website.
