Many thanks to Community Foundation For Calderdale for promising us a grant to arrange an event in October with asylum seekers, refugees and others performing. We are planning to have the event at the Birchcliffe Centre in Hebden Bridge. It is jointly organised with Calderdale Freedom From Torture.
The Birchcliffe Centre in Hebden Bridge is now booked for Saturday 29th October. So reserve the afternoon for a free concert with Stone Flowers, Dave Nelson & Charlie Carr and others.
Stone Flowers is a choir from Greater Manchester made up of former and present clients of Freedom From Torture – an organisation that supports traumatised asylum seekers and refugees.
We also plan to have activities for the children, like face painting.
Please note that there is limited car parking at the Birchcliffe Centre. So we plan to have a minibus running between Hebden Bridge train station and the Birchcliffe Centre but you can of course also take public transport or walk/cycle there.
