Took a car full of clothes, shoes, toys, books, etc to asylum seekers and refugees for a second time this month.
Went to a conference on support for asylum seekers and refugees. Among the speakers were MIND, Red Cross, Planet Mercy UK, a refugee and Rochdale Refugee Project. A good discussion on how we can coordinate the support network better.
Together We Grow’s work was explained and our leaflets were given out. A lot of good contacts made, including with some refugees.
