Visit on 25.2.2017

On 25th February we had 24 asylum seekers and refugees coming to Blackshaw Head.
We had a lot of clothes, shoes, etc to give to give to them. The pictures only show some of it. It now has to be delivered to their flats as it was too much for them to carry home.
We also decorated plant pots and put topsoil and bulbs into the pots so they could take them home.
As the weather was not good only a few of the children wanted to play football, etc in the garden but the table tennis in the summerhouse was very popular.
Due to the weather we also had a lot of board games, etc to play with, played musical chairs and hide and seek.
Many thanks to the ten drivers who helped out with lifts in the morning or the afternoon or both.
Also thanks to the many volunteers who helped out making lunch, washing up, talking to the asylum seekers and refugees.
