Helping out at a community orchard

Refugees and asylum seekers came to Blackshaw Head on 15th September, partly to help at the community orchard. We got the woodchip from the council into about 100 bags at Strines Farm, took the bags to the orchard and spread it all around the fruit trees an the fruit bushes. All done in an hour and a half – with fewer people than usual. Thanks to everyone who helped.
The children had some great playing in the garden and as usual a fantastic lunch kept us talking for a long time.
