Camping trip

We took a group of refugees and asylum seekers camping at Old Chamber’s Camping above Hebden Bridge. Despite the rain on Wednesday we had a great time. Thanks to everyone who lend us tents, sleeping bags and mats.

With lots of games, long walks, camp fire, lovely meals and a choir arriving for a BBQ getting us all singing and dancing. We had songs in Arabic, Sri Lankan and English, including ‘Head, shoulders, knees and toes’, songs from Libya, Palestine and Sri Lanka

The campsite has a big barn with toilets, showers, tables and chairs – just perfect for a large group. Many thanks to Anna for hosting us and for our volunteers: Steve, Sandy, Marian and Beryl.
