Our management committee met today to welcome our 7 new members from Halifax. We also have 3 committee members from Rochdale, two from Bradford, two from Hebden Bridge and two from Blackshaw Head. Out of the 16 members 12 are refugees and asylum seekers.
Various countries are now represented on our committee: Syria, Libya, Palestine, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Denmark and the UK.
We talked about the working of the committee and future plans for 2020.
Our committee meeting was followed by a lovely lunch, including puddings and some singing. Thanks to Beryl for hosting the event and thanks to all the chefs.
