Visit to the Bilal Mosque

Many thanks to the Bilal Mosque for inviting us on Sunday to the open day. There was music, children singing, a tour of the mosque lead by the imam, a Q&A session and some free food to everyone.
Donations to refugees

Took three sewing machines into the refugees women’s sewing group. The machines were donated by individuals in Blackshaw Head. Picked up three vacuum cleaners, a toaster and a duvet from the wonderful Reuse project in Littleborough and brought it to various refugees. Visit to Hebden Bridge

New management committee
Our management committee has now got three new members, Beryl, Marian and Ibrahim. Ibrahim is an asylum seeker and a co-chair with Laura. Other committee members are John, Pat and Finn. Simon had to step down due to his workload. We are grateful for these long-term volunteers to become members of our committee.
