More refugees, asylum seekers and volunteers had a chance to try outdoor bowling for the first time on Tuesday 19th April. And they all loved it as it is something everyone can do and the bowling club had invested in more games. After the bowling we went to the Kindness Cafe for a warm, lovely […]

More walking boots and raincoats
Spent another £966.24 on walking boots and raincoats for five families and two individuals so they can join our walking trips, be outdoor in all type of weather and still be dry and warm. Once again thanks to our funders and to individuals who donate money to Together We Grow. Without their support we could […]
Walk by walking group
Our walking group did a walk & talk from Hebden Bridge train station up to Old Chamber and Honesty Box, along Pinnacle lane, down by the river to Horsehold, where we could feed the lamb. From Horsehold we walked down to Beryl & Peter’s house to have lunch before taking the train. A lovely day […]
Visit on 12.4.2022

Youth talking and socialising

We are now a charity
After months of waiting we are pleased that Together We Grow is now a registered charity. Our charity number is 1198500. As a result of this we also need to set up a new bank account.

Newroz
Have you ever heard of Newroz? Newroz is the New Year for around 300 million people worldwide, celebrated by Persian, Afghan and Kurdish people. It also marks the first day of Spring. We celebrated this at The Piece Hall from 2 – 5 pm with poetry, music, dancing and more.
More donations
Many thanks to Heptonstall Repair Cafe and to Halifax Panthers for their donations to Together We Grow. Great to see how community groups can help each other.
New poem from Hina
We have started filming for a short film about Together We Grow. Matt Chris Ratcliffe has been commissioned by Calderdale Valley of Sanctuary to make the film. Yesterday we filmed Hina, one of our committee members. She had written this poem for the occasion: Together We Grow. Together We grow, Where we yes we grow […]
